Dr. Debbie is no stranger to the real estate industry. She has been developing high-performing teams and advising owners on operational strategies for more than 30 years. Her background combines front line experience with academic research from both The University of Georgia and Georgia Tech. Her doctoral thesis created an employee engagement model for the multifamily housing industry.
In addition to her teaching and consulting, Debbie serves on numerous boards focusing on workforce development, talent management and affordable housing. Debbie is often referred to as The Apartment Doctor and has received international recognition for her work. Most notably, Debbie was named as one of twenty most inspiring women by Leaders Magazine and recently was named 2023 Ambassador of the Year by Entryway, a non-profit aimed at ending situational homelessness through careers in the apartment industry.
Debbie is also the Founder of the Real Estate Career Academy, a non-profit foundation focusing on creating career awareness and preparing a pipeline for talent in real estate.
